Nurcan Giz's painting creates its own plastic laws outside of any subject alibi. To the possibilities that her art offers her, she confers an expressive value in accordance with her secret sensitivity, in accordance with her notion of perfection or more exactly of the outcome that the artist puts into everything. It is in this double register of discretion and fervor that Nurcan Giz conquers his language. Without ever giving in to ease or neglect, she interprets a real more authentic than objective reality, the uniqueness of which rests on a readable structure. Irregular shapes emerge from a living substance, a fertile plain subjected to the impasto or lyrical assaults of the forces present to bring about the visible in painting. Freed from the usual codes of figurative representation, the artist can undertake the exploration of space, together with that of light.
